Parag A. Majmudar, M.D. is a fellowship-trained corneal and refractive surgery specialist who spent the majority of his childhood in New Jersey and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania as part of an honors program in medical education.
After receiving his medical degree and attaining membership to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Dr. Majmudar completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Chicago, where he served as Chief Resident in the Department of Ophthalmology. Dr. Majmudar completed a subspecialty fellowship in Cornea and External Diseases and Refractive Surgery at Rush-Presbyterian-St.Luke's Medical Center in Chicago.
Dr. Majmudar is currently an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Rush Medical College in Chicago, where he actively participates in clinical research activities, and in the education of tomorrow's eye doctors. He is the director of the Corneal Fellowship program at Rush-Presbyterian-St.Luke's Medical Center. As a corneal trained fellow, Dr. Majmudar specializes in LASIK, cataracts, and other corneal surgeries. He has lectured globally and has instructed other physicians in corneal and refractive surgery.
Dr. Majmudar was named by Chicago magazine as one of Chicago's "Top Doctors" in the 2003 and 2004 editions.
